Description
I prefer wearing comfortable clothes – and these leggings are exactly that. Thanks to the foldover waistband, they sit comfortably without digging in and can be adjusted however you like. With the right fabric, they’re not only cozy but can even look quite chic.
The mid-rise leggings with a slightly flared leg are a classic cut with a modern touch: fitted through the thigh and gently flared from the knee down. The foldover waistband provides an extra comfortable fit – completely without elastic.
The pattern is easy to sew, making it perfect for beginners working with jersey fabrics. You can style them sporty, casual, or elegant – depending on your fabric and outfit. They also look especially nice if you sew the waistband in a contrasting color.
Recommended Fabrics:
Stretchy jersey with at least 20% crosswise stretch. Make sure the fabric stretches comfortably while remaining stable.
In short:
- Comfortable foldover waistband – no elastic, no digging in
- Fitted silhouette with a slightly flared leg
- Beginner-friendly – simple construction
- Optional: waistband in a contrasting color
- Fabric recommendation: stretchy jersey with at least 20% stretch
