Description
I like it comfy – whether I’m working, playing with my daughter, or just relaxing on the couch. But I still don’t want to look like I’m wearing pajamas. That’s exactly why I love leggings: they’re cozy, simple, and go with almost anything.
Since I’m over 1.80 m tall, finding well-fitting leggings has always been frustrating. So now I just sew them myself – simple, timeless, and finally the right length.
This pattern is intentionally straightforward: a classic high-waist leggings with attached waistband, perfect for everyday wear and super comfortable. Thanks to the uncomplicated construction, it’s also ideal for anyone just getting started with sewing jersey fabrics. And once you’ve made one, you’ll probably want a few more – because you can never have too many leggings.
The pattern includes multiple marked length options, so you can sew the leggings to suit your own style:
- Mini Shorts – very short, upper thigh line
- Shorts – mid-thigh length
- Biker Shorts – ending just above the knee
- ¾ Length – midway between knee and ankle
- Long – classic full-length leggings to the ankle
The stretchy fabric gives you full freedom of movement and a perfect fit – whether you’re doing yoga, playing outside, or relaxing at home.
In short:
- Comfortable & shape-retaining: high-waist cut with attached waistband
- Beginner-friendly – quick sewing success guaranteed
- Adjustable: five marked lengths from mini shorts to long
- Timeless basic pattern – perfect for everyday wear
- Fabric recommendation: elastic jersey with at least 20 % stretch
